Developing Mental Resilience & Why It Matters
Building your mental resilience is a way of living. It is having certain behaviours and habits that will enable you to push through in-spite of setback, failures, difficulties.
It is what will keep you moving forward no matter the ridicule, shame, and regret that life throws your way.

It is important for you to know who you are. It is important for you to understand your definition of yourself. Know your core values. Know what lights you up. You must know your joy and purpose.
When you have a proper definition of you and work towards always building up your self-esteem, you will not be completely defeated by life.
You Should Know Your Triggers

People enjoy pushing your buttons. Some do it out of entertainment. Others believe that dragging you down is the best way to lift themselves up. You must know your triggers.
Your triggers are those things that might instil a form of fear, insecurity, and discomfort in you. Once you know what these things are, you need to know how to manage your emotions and response.
Do not allow others to run you off a cliff because they enjoy pushing your buttons.
Protect Your Space
You must always protect your space. Protecting your space is being mindful of the company that you surround yourself with. Your space is being mindful of what content you consume on social media.
Your space is being mindful of the environments that you put yourself in. It is monitoring what is feeding hope and positivity to you and what is not.
Your space is your responsibility. You must protect your space always!
You Should Know Your Joy

It matters to know where your joy and happiness can be found. When life inevitably presents situations and circumstances that will get you down, you find your joy.
Your joy does not have to be something large. You joy can be found in listening to music. Your joy can be found in doing exercise. Your joy can be found in pursuing your passions.
Why Does Building Mental Resilience Matter?
If you do not build mental resilience, you will be completely broken by life. People will shake you and you will not have the courage to get back up and fight.
When you develop your mental resilience, it enables you to keep moving forward. It enables you to keep moving towards the life that gives you meaning and purpose.
