This tree is so utterly different from what I’ve seen

I walk around this great college campus and I notice something different

The trees grow brighter as the wind blows past them

Its leaves are bold as they flex their mighty colors of burgundy, yellow, and green

I look around and there’s another tall tree that stretches up to the sky

It’s a lovely pinkish red and I stand in awe

I continue my walk and see yet another tree hidden in the edifice of blue and white

It’s green and yellow and the reflection of the sun beams through the windows nourishing this quiet tree that’s firm and calm

I keep on walking and I begin to smile because I can tell things are changing

I can tell a new season is here.

Fall is here and can’t you tell by the magnificent colors and sounds it makes?

Fall is here and can’t you tell as the leaves are charming and gracing us with so much beauty

Fall is here and what a new season it is!

I hold onto my bright pink and black sweater as I begin to skip and start to sing.

The winds are crisp and the air has a slight chill

But it’s not too cold because the sun still comforts me as I hum.

As I continue my walk, I can’t help but wonder about Fall…

Suddenly, fall stops me in my tracks and transports me to where I’ve been

My life has been a fall I yell.

I’ve tried and I’ve learned and I’ve failed and I’ve fallen, I declare.

My life has been a fall, I yell again at the blue sky expecting a response back

But then this tree catches my eyes

Its leaves are both green and brownish-yellow with black dots scattered around

This tree is so utterly different from what I’ve seen.

Strong and matured, and inside the branches, little red berries sprout from the leaves, which makes me laugh.

I then think about Fall and I grow calm as the leaves flutter

I stop my groaning and I take on a new song.

Fall is here and what a new season it is

Fall is here and it’s quite miraculous, don’t you agree?

Bask in it before the winter proves challenging

Bask in it and take this moment to be glad.

Fall is here and what a moment to be glad.

Fall is here, and what a moment to cheer as nature marvels us with its multitude of illuminating colors, brightening our path into this new season.
